

FRAZZOLI - Back Chamfer and Back Spotfacing SpindlesFRAZZOLI Back Chamfer Spindles (BCT) and Back Spotfacing Spindles (BSFT) enable fully automatic Back Machining on CNC machines (with ATC) and with considerable advantage on manually operated machines. Benefits include elimination of part turnover, reductions in cycle times and access to areas otherwise “impossible-to-reach". Both types of Spindle incorporate Ball Bearing thrust faces to ensure work is not marked. Both types of spindle rotate in same direction throughout the operation cycle.

Back Chamfer stage sequence; pass thro' bore , spindle housing bears on work face, continued traverse displaces tool, continue traverse until chamfer is to width required, during machine spindle return traverse tool automatically reverts to original position.

Back Spotface stage sequence; rotating stem passes thro' work bore at 1. Anti friction bearing thrust face bears onto work surface at 2. Machine spindle continues to traverse at 3 outfeeding blade to required spotface diameter. Machine spindle traverse reverses and blade withdraws into stem at 4. At 5, and with blade withdrawn, spindle is disengaged from work Minimum work bore size 9.0 dia.; largest hole diameter 40; spotface diameter range from 23.6 to 92. Material thickness up to 69 |
